Two overseas affiliates giving back to the community in Thailand, helping with improvements to a multipurpose facility at a local school

The Thailand-based Asia Silicones Monomer Limited (ASM) and Shin-Etsu Silicones (Thailand) Limited (SEST) celebrated 10 years of operations in 2014. The two companies marked the occasion in part by giving back to the community.

They were part of efforts to repair a multipurpose facility at the nearby Wat Prachummit Bamrung School, which were completed in time for a handover ceremony held on January 9, Children's Day in Thailand. In addition to housing school-related events, the facility will be put to use in various other ways, such as for community gatherings and elections.

Ever striving to be good corporate citizens, ASM and SEST will continue to build on their relationships with the community while working to develop their business interests.
