Formation of Hammer Tone Pattern on Paint Film

Hammer tone is a beautiful tortoise shell pattern that appears on the surface of a paint film.
It can be formed by adding a silicone paint additive with a long siloxane chain length to the paint film, causing cells to form due to reduced convection and intentional cissing of the surface.
This is especially effective when added to silver paint using aluminum powder/aluminum paste as a pigment.
In this way, silicone coating surface modifiers can add not only practical properties to the coating surface, but also design characteristics.

Using the cissing properties of long-chain silicone, it can be added to paints to deliberately form a hammer tone pattern.
