Shin-Etsu Silicone Selection Guide for Cosmetics

Silicone Acrylates

This is a graft polymer composed of acrylic polymer and dimethylpolysiloxane.
It is dissolved in volatile silicone fluids, and the resulting film is flexible and highly adhesive, giving cosmetic films water resistance, sebum resistance, and abrasion resistance.

KP-545

KP-545

A cyclopentasiloxane solution of a graft copolymer consisting of acrylic polymer and dimethylpolysiloxane. Evaporation of volatile components forms a film with excellent water resistance, oil resistance, abrasion resistance, oxygen permeability, and lasting cosmetic effect. The film-forming agent (acrylates/dimethicone) copolymer has the characteristics of both acrylic resin and silicone.

KP-545L

KP-545L

A volatile dimethicone solution of a graft copolymer consisting of acrylic polymer and dimethylpolysiloxane. Evaporation of the volatile components forms a film with excellent water resistance, oil resistance, abrasion resistance, oxygen permeability, and lasting cosmetic effect. The film-forming agent (acrylates/dimethicone) copolymer has the characteristics of both acrylic resin and silicone.

KP-550

KP-550

An isododecane solution of a graft copolymer consisting of acrylic polymer and dimethylpolysiloxane. Evaporation of volatile components forms a film with excellent water resistance, oil resistance, abrasion resistance, oxygen permeability, and lasting cosmetic effect. The film-forming agent (acrylates/dimethicone) copolymer has the characteristics of both acrylic resin and silicone.

KP-543

KP-543

A butyl acetate solution of a graft copolymer consisting of acrylic polymer and dimethylpolysiloxane. Evaporation of volatile components forms a film with excellent water resistance, oil resistance, scrub resistance, oxygen permeability, and lasting cosmetic effect. The film-forming agent (acrylates/dimethicone) copolymer has the characteristics of both acrylic resin and silicone.

KP-549

KP-549

A volatile dimethicone solution of a graft copolymer consisting of acrylic polymer and dimethylpolysiloxane. Evaporation of the volatile components forms a film with excellent water resistance, oil resistance, abrasion resistance, oxygen permeability, and cosmetic effect retention. The film-forming agent (acrylates/dimethicone) copolymer has the characteristics of both acrylic resin and silicone.
