Shin-Etsu Silicone Selection Guide for Cosmetics

UV Filter

The SPD series is a UV-shielding dispersion that disperses fine titanium dioxide or zinc oxide particles in volatile silicone fluids.
Despite containing a high concentration of finely dispersed particles, it is a product with extremely low viscosity that is easy to handle.
It can be applied not only to sunscreens but also to makeup products such as makeup primers and liquid foundations.

(Not specified values)

The SPD series utilizes dispersants with high dispersing performance, enabling stable dispersion of high-concentration fine-particle powders. All products achieve low-viscosity dispersions.
Furthermore, they exhibit minimal tackiness from the dispersants, resulting in a smooth application feel.
