Notice of changes in containers

In order for Shin-Etsu Chemical's customers to use our products more safely, we have decided to change the containers used for our silicone products in the following three classes of containers: 1)metal cans of 1kg or 500g, 2)18kg rectangular metal cans and 3)20L pail-type metal cans with a lid. The details of the changes in these containers are explained below. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter.

Changes and containers to be affected

The discontinuation of nozzle use

Containers affected: metal cans of 1kg or 500g
Changes:
At present, a polyethylene nozzle is attached inside of the mouth of the metal can. It was found that because of this nozzle, depending on the way the container might be opened, the liquid content might spurt out at the top of the can. Accordingly, for the sake of greater safety, we have decided to discontinue the use of nozzles.
