Silicone pressure sensitive adhesives (PSA) developed in association with the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA)

Through a project undertaken with the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), Shin-Etsu developed silicone PSA designed to stand up to the rigors of use in deep space. Shin-Etsu has plans to make this material available for general commercial applications and hopes to see it put to use in applications with similarly tough requirements.

A few words about the newly developed product

The newly developed silicone PSA can absorb powerful impacts and recover to its original shape afterward. (Pressure: 1 kg/cm²)
