Emulsifying Silicone Gels
Silicone emulsifying silicone gels are three-dimensional cross-linked compounds of silicone cross-linked with hydrophilic groups that swell in silicone fluids and other oils and fats. (KSG series of emulsifiers) The cross-linked compounds have both hydrophobic and hydrophilic groups, which act as W/O emulsifiers and stabilize emulsified particles.Furthermore, it also acts as an oil-phase thickener, making it a functional material that can be used to obtain W/O cosmetics with good stability. There are many variations of both the hydrophobic and hydrophilic parts, which can be selected according to the compatibility with the oil used and the desired texture.
