Oil-phase Thickeners

The KSG series is a gel formed by swelling silicone crosslinked compounds in silicone fluids and other oils and fats.
The crosslinking portion is the type of hydrophilic group (Emulsifying silicone gels)and the type of silicone chain (Silicone gels ) are both functional materials that act as oil-phase thickeners and can impart structural viscosity.
We offer a lineup of gels based on various silicone fluids, allowing you to select a gel that is compatible with your oil. We also provide a wide variety of textures.
Emulsifying silicone gels can be used as surfactants to form W/O emulsions.

Product Lineup and Molecular Structure Models of Emulsifying silicone gels

Crosslinked emulsifying silicone gels possess both hydrophobic and hydrophilic groups, enabling them to function as W/O emulsifiers and maintain stable emulsion particles. Furthermore, the crosslinked material swells within the silicone fluids, imparting structural viscosity, thereby yielding W/O cosmetic formulations with excellent stability.
The hydrophobic portion comes in three types: a standard type composed solely of silicone chains, a type with alkyl chains unrelated to crosslinking, and a type with two types of branched chains (silicone and alkyl). Each swells in silicone fluids with which it is compatible.
The hydrophilic portion consists of two types: Polyether and Polyglycerin. As a three-dimensional crosslinked compound, it provides a non-sticky feel. In particular, polyglycerin modified silicone has high water retention and imparts a soft, moisturized feel.
