Amino Silane

Aminosilane coupling agent is a silane coupling agent with amino groups as functional groups.
It can be used as a resin modifier, adhesion aid, and surface treatment agent.

Used as a Resin Modifier


Alkoxysilyl groups can be introduced into the resin by reacting with epoxy or isocyanate groups in the
resin.

Use as an Adhesion Aid

When added as an adhesion aid to adhesives and paints such as sealants, it improves adhesion, moisture resistance and corrosion resistance to the base material (glass, metal, etc.).

Use as a Glass Surface Treatment Agent

Glass fiber treated with an aqueous aminosilane solution can be mixed with resin to produce glass fiber reinforced thermoplastic resin (FRTP) and glass fiber reinforced thermoset resin (FRP). Silane treatment allows chemical bonding between glass fiber and resin, which improves strength, heat resistance, water resistance, and electrical properties.

Use as a Surface Treatment Agent for Inorganic fillers

When inorganic fillers (such as silica) treated with aminosilane are mixed with epoxy resin, the amino groups react with the epoxy groups to unite the silica with the epoxy resin.
