For development of one-component acetone-cure silicone RTV rubber, Shin-Etsu receives National Commendation for Invention from the Japan Institute of Invention and Innovation (JIII).
1985
Received National Commendation for Invention from the JIII (for silicone SEP rubber).

Received Director-General's Award from the Science and Technology Agency (for acetone-based silicone RTV rubber).
1990
Received Society of Silicon Chemistry, Japan Award (for development of radiation-cured silicone for release paper).

Received Director-General's Award from the Science and Technology Agency (for addition-cure silicone for release paper).
