How to determine the amount of silane used?
The optimal amount is determined by the specific surface area of the filler and the minimum coverage area of the silane.
Amount to be treated
The amount of treatment for filler is usually 0.5 to 2 wt%. The following model equation can be used as a guide to determine the amount of silane required to treat the filler with a monolayer surface.
For a rough estimate, please use 0.5 to 2 wt% of filler. Depending on the type of filler, some may have excellent effects while others may have poor effects.
